“Departure” is the intro track, everything starts with the atmospheric pads and a robot voice announces the countdown of the departure of the hi-tech shuttle, there’s only one passenger: Mattia Trani, the destination is an unknown planet. The spaceship left the earth planet, we are now in the infinity black space: ”Low-Tech Descending” accompany the travel, trip-hop slow beat with 808 raw ryhthm, futuristic synth and basslines.
“Traffic 2 Traffic” is the third track, 90’s jungle infected with piano rhodes and a huge classic bristol bass to complete it. In the main title track ”The Hi-Tech Mission”, Trani shows his classic traditional nu school detroit sound with korg lead solo and square bass synthetizer. “Symphony of a cosmic goddess” is a great combo of 303 basslines, melodic strings and piano modulating sound where Mattia shows his ability of keyboarder, the ryhthm encounters with an emotional piano melody. “The Detroit Student” and “Alien Pattern” are the most powerful energy tracks of the album, raw speed techno bomb with millsian inspired drones.
The shuttle reaches an unknown galaxy, “Metaphysic Dream” remembers the classic electro-funk aux 88 beat with the vocoder voice, the song is a tribute to the 313 friends of Mattia and there’s a special hidden message: “Maybe this is the last transmission, dedicated to the creation of I.S.F. UNIT ZC-121861, thank you for listening, we are in the future, thank you”. The groove increase, ”Future Funk Return” is the last song.
170 bpm, another pure drum’n’bass uk jungle bangin tune with african voices. The Shuttle reaches a mysterious planet, it seems that the mission is not finished yet.
